Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
I am a dedicated researcher at Kiel University in Germany, where I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the fields of experimental, behavioral, and public economics. My research spans diverse areas, including individual preferences over inequality, risk, and time, as well as perceptions of social inequalities. To explore these topics, I use a variety of methods—laboratory experiments, surveys, and survey experiments—that provide valuable insights into human behavior and societal dynamics.
Teaching is a true passion of mine. I have extensive experience instructing both introductory and specialized courses for Bachelor’s and Master’s students in English and German, and I love helping students deepen their understanding of economics.
I’m actively involved within my department. I serve as a student advisor for Socio-Economics, act as the equal opportunities officer, participate on the Committee for Scientific Misconduct Investigations, and am former member of the Graduate Committee.
Outside of academia, I’m a traveler and adventurer at heart, always seeking to merge my professional and personal growth with my passion for exploring the world. There’s a chance we’ve crossed paths somewhere along the way.
Above all, I’m a devoted father to two wonderful children and a caring husband. My family is my greatest priority, and I cherish every moment I get to spend with them—whether we’re in our garden, out in nature fishing or paddleboarding, biking, making musik, or cooking together. Though family appears last here, it always comes first in my life.
